TASI Times
(TASI Newsletter, 3rd Quarter 2007)
In celebration of our 10 year anniversary, Technical Accounting Solutions, Inc. is excited to announce the re-implementation of our quarterly newsletter. With a new look and a new name, we are launching the next era for our company, with even more exciting changes coming soon.
It is, therefore, with great pleasure that I welcome you to the first edition of the TASI TIMES, a publication for our valued customers and affiliates. Here, we will keep you up-to-date on industry news, our mutual successes, product updates, and much more. We welcome your feedback and suggestions on information you would like to see included in future editions.
In this edition, I am thrilled to spotlight Karen Smart, a long time TASI resource. We also have several updates on Sage partner and user conferences, a sneak peak at a phenomenal success story, and announcements about upcoming training classes.
Jay Katon, CEO
Karen Smart, of Smart e-Solutions, has worked in alliance with TASI for several years. “It’s an informal partnership based on trust, friendship, and confidence”, stated Karen. Karen handles installations of software and the corresponding project management, technical support, pre-sales consulting and on-line training. “Jay Katon, of TASI, and I make a great team. We complement each other and provide a total solution for our customers’ needs.”
Karen applies her strategic abilities outside of work too. She manages to juggle her two teenage boys into her heavy travel schedule. In the little spare time she has, Karen enjoys gardening and has an enviable Orchid collection. She also enjoys playing Mah Jongg, an ancient Chinese board-style game, competitively.
“Karen is a great resource to and alliance for TASI”, stated Jay Katon, CEO of TASI. “TASI and our customers are lucky to have her as an extended part of our team”.
Century Magnetics has been distributing magnetic recording media products and their accessories in the Maryland-Washington, DC-Northern Virginia area since 1978. Since that time, they have grown to become one of the largest distributors for blank audio, video, and computer storage media. Their customers include both state and federal government agencies, as well as commercial companies.
With an obsolete accounting system and a growing company, the search was on for an easy to use, accurate system with great support. After interviewing seven companies, then narrowing it down to three who sold the same Sage product line, Century Magnetics chose TASI. “Jay Katon and Karen Smart left us feeling 100% confident that we were making the right choice by using TASI for our implementation”, stated Patricia Clarke, president and CEO of Century Magnetics.
“The implementation process was painless for us”, proclaimed Patricia. “Jay and the TASI team were fantastic - and they continue to be as they provide our on-going support needs.” Throughout the initial implementation process TASI has become a long term trusted advisor for Patricia and Century Magnetics.
