TASI makes accounting challenges a distant memory for Century Magnetics

Century Magnetics has been distributing magnetic recording media products and their accessories in the Maryland-Washington, D.C.— Northern Virginia area since 1978. Since that time, they have grown to become one of the largest distributors in the Mid-Atlantic region for blank audio, video, and computer storage media. Their dedication and commitment to servicing customers, the cornerstone of their business philosophy, has allowed them to expand their customer base to include the entire United States. Century's customers include both state and federal government agencies, as well as commercial companies. As Century Magnetics continued to grow, they were rapidly outgrowing their old accounting system. With an outdated and unreliable software package, countless manual records had to be maintained. Copies of source documents with hand written notes were needed to substantiate financial reports. Reconciling reports had become a very tedious task. Looking up vendor’s invoices to verify inventory receipts was time consuming. Tracking customer orders and open receivables was painful. Century was urged by their CPA to make a change. The search was on for an easy to use, accurate system with great support.
